Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – SenseRYX Antenna Pattern Measurement System

What is SenseRYX?
SenseRYX is a compact antenna radiation pattern measurement system that integrates a built-in signal source, receiver, and motorized turntable. It measures 2D antenna radiation performance quickly and does not require any external VNA, spectrum analyzer, or signal generator.
What models are available?

Two main versions are offered:
• SenseRYX EDU (0.4–4 GHz) – ideal for universities and training labs.
• SenseRYX PRO (0.4–6 GHz) – designed for R&D and professional applications.

What is the measurement accuracy?

It typically provides ±1 dB gain accuracy and 0.9° angular resolution, ensuring reliable characterization even for narrow-beam or wideband antennas.

How does the software work?

The SenseRYX software (Windows) communicates via USB and provides real-time polar plots, gain vs angle charts, and 360° scanning animation. Data can be exported as txt files.

Which antenna types are supported?

Compatible with all 50 Ω antennas such as dipole, monopole, patch, horn, and log-periodic types. Passive antennas can be tested.

Is an anechoic chamber required?

No. SenseRYX can be used on a desktop setup with minimum reflections. For best accuracy, a free space of about 2 meter around the setup is recommended.

How long does a full measurement take?

A 360° full rotation typically takes 2–3 minutes One axis measurement takes about 1 minute.

Is there any software license or subscription fee?

No. The SenseRYX software is permanently licensed with the device and requires no additional subscription.

What accessories are included?

Each unit comes with:
• Reference antenna
• Motorized rotation platform
• USB cable
• Power adapter cable(Mains 220V/110VAC adjust according to country by supplier)
• Carrying case or foam-cut box
• Software & User Manual (PDF)

Which operating systems are supported?
